While many of the students included in the report are new awardees, some have continued to appear on Confirmation Reports since the beginning of the fall 2001 semester. Please realize that OTAG continues to hold funding commitments for all applicants identified on your Confirmation Report. At this time we need your assistance in either requesting funds by indicating "ready to disburse" for ALL students listed in your current Confirmation Report or in reporting cancellations for these students by entering "IN" in the enrollment status column/field. In general, we need to know at the earliest opportunity if an award commitment should be paid or canceled. We appreciate your assistance and cooperation in helping us to identify available funds. Please contact the OTAG office at 405.225.9456 or send e-mail to reports@otag.org if you have questions or need additional information. *********************** Shiela Joyner, Director Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant Program Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education P. An Excel spreadsheet version of the Disbursement Report is now available at each school's option. The spreadsheet replaces the paper version report for those schools who receive one disbursement check or fund transfer payable to the institution. This option is not available for schools that continue to receive OTAG checks payable to individual students, since student signatures are still required under that option. Schools receiving Disbursement Report data in ftp (file transfer protocol) format can continue to receive the data in that format for their internal purposes as well as receiving the Excel spreadsheet for completion and return to the OTAG office. Please contact the OTAG office at 405.225.0456 or send e-mail to reports@otag.org if you are interested in reviewing or converting to this option for your disbursement reporting. *********************** Shiela Joyner, Director Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant Program Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education P. Based on available funds and applications with award potential that have been reported to OTAG with "packaged" status as of today, it appears that we may be able to move the cutoff date several days past the current May 4 cutoff. This comes as somewhat of a surprise to us since we did initially adjust the cutoff to take into account the new funding received for 2001-2002. After discussing the awarding situation with some of you at the conference last week, it appears that the volume meeting the initial awarding cutoff may just be down when compared to last year. This coupled with the fact that we're still working to establish an awarding history comfort level since implementing the EFC formula, we ask that bear with us as we proceed with great caution. We would really appreciate hearing THIS WEEK from anyone who still has updates to report to the OTAG office. Thank you for your assistance and your understanding. *********************** Shiela Joyner, Director Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant Program Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education P. O. There has been a room change (from Conference Room B to Suite C1 & C3) but we are still in the same building, the Forum Building at the Oklahoma Center for Continuing Education (OCCE). In case you've forgotten the original directions, I've pasted them below. See you there! Pam McConahay Asst Dir., Compliance & Support Svcs University of Oklahoma Financial Aid Services 731 Elm, Rm 125, Norman OK 73019-2111 (405) 325-4617, fax (405) 325-7608 pmcconahay@ou.edu DIRECTIONS TO THE FORUM BUILDING, OKLAHOMA CENTER FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION: Get to I-35; head to Norman. You're smart people, you'll figure it out. When you get to Norman, take Highway 9 East, exit NORTH at Chautauqua. Yes, that is the Norman sewage treatment plant you smell. Lovely, isn't it? Follow Chautauqua to Timberdell Road and turn right onto Timberdell. (You'll pass the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History on Chautauqua, a lovely spot to visit after the videoconference.) At the stop sign at the corner of Asp & Timberdell (see the OU swimming pool?), turn LEFT. Stop gawking at the pool, the coeds rarely wear their bikinis outside at this time of year. Then, turn left again into the OCCE parking lot. The Forum building is the six sided building with the three wings & antennas on top. No, it is not a big brick bug. There should be plenty of parking around OCCE. For those of you who are more visual, check out the OU campus map at http://www.ou.edu/visitorcenter/campusmap.html#map The OCCE Forum Building is Building #46. And, since he's got too much class to use the listserv to drum up business, I'm doing it. This is Jerome's second year of organizing the relief sale (last year it was the Friday & Saturday of the Fall OASFAA conference, can you imagine!!) so let's show him some support. Friday includes a Grilled Chicken supper, Musical Program, Quilt Display, mini-auction and some booth sales. Saturday starts with a Sausage & Pancake breakfast, Food & Craft Booths, and the big event---the Auction of handcrafted & donated items such as Quilts, wall hangings, etc. If you have a quilt fan in your family, there is no finer display of the art than this sale. All proceeds support relief, service and community development programs of the Mennonite Central Committee, the relief agency of Mennonite & Brethren in Christ churches.
