The University of Oklahoma Office of Financial Aid Services (FAS) is seeking
a person to fill the position of Assistant Director, Systems.   The
application deadline is December 21, 2001 at 3 p.m.  

This position will serve as assistant director for systems and will provide
systems analysis and programming support for Financial Aid Services.  This
position includes responsibility for the design, implementation, maintenance
and modification of all FAS computing systems and reporting functions.  The
University of Oklahoma utilizes the Student Aid Management (SAM) software
from Sigma Systems, Inc.

This position requires a bachelor's degree and 36 months of experience as a
programmer analyst. Preferred experience is in financial aid computing and
in data collection, programming and analysis for data report and survey
writing.  The position requires the ability to communicate highly technical
information to staff and end users and the willingness to work irregular
hours.  

The assistant director, systems, reports to the Director of Financial Aid
Services.  Financial Aid Services is comprised of 34 full-time staff and 20
part-time student employees, providing more than $100 million in aid annual
to a student body of approximately 25,000.  The University of Oklahoma is
located in Norman, Oklahoma, the third largest city in the state located
just south of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
