POSITION TITLE  FINANCIAL AID OFFICER
and DESCRIPTION:    State Fair Community College has an opening for a Chief Financial Aid Officer.  The Financial Aid Officer, under the supervision of the Dean of Student Services, will oversee and administer financial aid programs for State Fair Community College students including federal/state financial aid, veteran’s benefits, and workstudy programs.

  QUALIFICATIONS:   Master’s degree in a related field and/or relevant job experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree accepted.  This individual must possess the education, experience, and training necessary to fulfill complete job responsibilities.  Applicant should:
 Be able to demonstrate effective management of the fiscal functions of the position in a skilled and professional manner.
 Be able to demonstrate competency with computer software and Internet usage.
 Possess good organizational skills including the ability to delegate effectively and work efficiently within deadlines.
 Show initiative and be a self-starter.
 Possess a strong commitment to customer service that would include occasional evening hours, and be able to interact with a broad range of people both on and off campus in a positive manner.
 Possess strong oral and written communication skills and be able to prepare required federal, state, VA, and institutional reports.
 Possess a commitment to the philosophy and mission of the Community College.

  SALARY AND FRINGE:    Professional salary scale currently ranging from $27,075 to $40,179 depending on qualifications. Missouri Public School Retirement System, medical/dental insurance, tuition waiver, and excellent fringe benefits package.
     EMPLOYMENT DATE and        
      LENGTH OF CONTRACT:   July 1, 2002 to June 30, 2003.  Contract renewable annually
