POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Associate Director of Financial Aid

Kansas City Art Institute, a national leader in visual arts education, is seeking nominations and applications for the professional position of Associate Director of Financial Aid.

The Associate Director of Financial Aid will be responsible to the Director of Financial Aid for all assigned aspects of student financial aid including needs assessment, loan administration and aid packaging from all types of aid sources.  The Associate Director of Financial Aid will be expected to work sensitively and effectively with students, parents and college personnel, therefore strong written and verbal communication skills as well as exceptional interpersonal skills are required.  Familiarity with financial aid software including PowerFAIDS is preferred as well as Department of Education Software.

The successful candidate must a minimum of two years full-time financial aid or related work experience, and knowledge of enrollment management as related to student financial aid.  A bachelors degree in any field is also required.

The compensation for the position will include an annual salary range in the high 20’s to low 30’s based on the level of experience, and the standard benefit package including three weeks annual vacation and a liberal holiday schedule.

Kansas City Art Institute is a four-year private, independent and accredited college of art and design founded in 1885, and is located in the cultural heart of metropolitan Kansas City on a 15 acre park-like campus setting.  The college awards the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and enrolls approximately 550 students drawn from throughout the United States and several foreign countries.  The full-time faculty is comprised of over 40 practicing artists and scholars and a distinguished visiting artists program complements the academic program.
