<HTML><FONT FACE=arial,helvetica><FONT SIZE=2>The Position
<BR>Dean of Enrollment Management is a new position created to manage a
<BR>successful enrollment program for the campus. Reporting to the Provost, the
<BR>Dean will oversee the offices of Admissions (including graduate admissions),
<BR>Student Financial Assistance, and Registrar, and also will serve as the
<BR>institutional leader in issues of student retention. The Dean will oversee
<BR>all activities related to student enrollment, work closely with other campus
<BR>units in matters of student retention, be the liaison between the enrollment
<BR>unit and all other campus units, and serve as the institutional resource for
<BR>enrollment issues in higher education.
<BR>
<BR>Qualifications
<BR>As a minimum, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree; however, an
<BR>advanced degree is preferred. The successful candidate must demonstrate
<BR>experience in leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of
<BR>marketing, recruitment, and retention strategies as well as the effective
<BR>management of significant professional staff. Familiarity with related
<BR>research and information technologies and the ability to work
<BR>collaboratively with professionals in other units is essential. Strong
<BR>skills in strategic planning, marketing, management, and coordinating and
<BR>leading the work of multiple units in support of institutional goals will be
<BR>important factors in the selection process.

<BR>Institutional Setting
<BR>Founded in 1870 and located in Rolla, Missouri, the University of
<BR>Missouri-Rolla (UMR) is a public, land grant institution with a strong focus
<BR>in engineering and the related sciences. UMR enrolls approximately 4,500
<BR>students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and is located on a
<BR>284-acre campus in scenic South Central Missouri. The student body
<BR>represents 46 states and 35 foreign countries. Bachelor's, Master's and PhD.
<BR>degrees are offered in an extremely broad range of engineering and science
<BR>disciplines, and bachelor's degrees are offered in the traditional liberal
<BR>arts areas. UMR ranks in the top 10% of suppliers of engineering
<BR>baccalaureate degrees in the United States.
