</span></span></span><![endif]><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The Senate author, Sen. Jason Smalley, can request that the Senate accept House amendments and vote one more time on the Senate floor and then the bill would go to the Governor. While the House
did not change any of the actual text of SB 529 from the way it came over from the Senate, the House did restore the “title” and “emergency clause” of the bill which qualify as amendments that the Senate must approve. These House amendments put the bill in
a legal format could be sent to the Governor if approved in its current form by the Senate.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
