Proposals are due this Friday, September 9 by 5:00pm. See the attached PDF for more information. To date, we have only had one presentation proposals submitted - the conference is only as good as the proposals we receive. If I don't receive enough proposals for this fall's conference, the Board may opt to cancel the conference and determine our options for the Board elections. PLEASE submit your proposals by FRIDAY! We had three great proposals submitted for the Fall 2011 conference scheduled for October 14 at Oklahoma City University. We need at least three more good proposals to be submitted if we want to hold our full-day fall conference. If we do not get more proposals, the Board will have to decide to either: [1] have a ? day conference, or [2] cancel the fall conference all together (and find an alternative to address the Board elections). Please look at what you do to determine if it would be of interest to the membership and then submit a proposal for topics of interest. We can have a discussion group for those who share an interest in a 'hot button' topic, i.e. a 'birds of a feather' type of interest shared by several institutions; we just need someone to propose the discussion group topic and be willing to help facilitate the discussion. I have attached a presentation proposal for your use. Let me know if you have ANY questions! Thanks in advance to those of you who have already submitted proposals and to those of you who submit proposals this week. Message-ID: <001501cc7213$39a48490$aced8db0$@edu> First of all I wish to give my heartfelt THANK YOU for everyone who helped any family affected by last spring's tornados. So many people lost so much, I almost feel guilty because we had some house left to re-build upon. We are getting close to being able to move back home, hopefully by mid-October! Second, for those of you who donated time, energy or dollars to help me and my family, you will never, EVER know how much this meant to us. There are so many things that insurance won't pay for, and that includes much of the debris cleanup. We used the donated funds to rent a backhoe to assist with some of the larger trees. My son's company also donated a bulldozer for a weekend which was able to move the massive 40+ foot and 50+ foot trees to the road for FEMA cleanup. I have attached a couple of pictures . my sons and husband had fun driving the big machines.
