[OKAIR] OK-AIR Spring Conference - Final Notes

Greetings to All,

The OK-AIR Spring Conference was held April 13 at Northern Oklahoma College - Enid.  Thanks to all who came and braved bad weather to get home.  For those who did not make it, we missed you and you missed a great conference.  Our minds were challenged in innovative directions by four of our members.

I am glad to have met some of OK-AIR's newer members; I hope you have experienced the networking and passion that makes this a great organization.  I enjoyed many frank discussions with various members and was reminded how diverse of a group our membership is.  We need to take better advantage of this wonderful opportunity we have.  Thanks for the humbling reminders.

The Board will meet sometime over the summer months and begin planning for the next conferences.  Thank you for the numerous comments on the evaluation forms - we do like to have the help in planning for the next meetings.

While the call for proposals will go out in September, if you would be willing to present or have a presentation in mind, please let one of the board members know now (http://www.okairp.org/directory.shtm).  Some of the topics suggested include, but are not limited to:

*         Dashboards

*         Website design

*         Fact sheets

*         HLC - visits, experiences, things on the horizon

*         AISSE

*         Using IPEDS

*         Preparing data for IPEDS

*         General Education

*         Surveys - calendars, methodologies, softwares, data collection, data analysis, etc.

*         Skill sharing - Excel, SPSS or SAS, tricks and tips for Banner,

*         PARCC

*         Best practices - Graduating Senior Survey, Alumni data, job placement outcomes

*         Etc
