Institutional Research Specialist
Job Duties:

Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research & Effectiveness, this position will be responsible for preparation and/or coordination of request for institutional data, including the university system, Illinois Board of Higher Education, IPEDS and other state and federally-mandated reports according to specified deadlines.
Qualifications:

*         Bachelor's degree in one or more of the following: Social Science, Educational Psychology, Educational Research, Research Methodology, Statistics or Data Management

*         Two years professional work experience in the area of institutional research and was significantly involved in the design, preparation and analysis of higher educational research reports

*         Must have a broad knowledge of federal reporting guidelines; Must be proficient in windows-based word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphic presentation packages, as well as statistical and data extraction software

*         Must have experience with the use of SQL databases.
Preferred Qualifications:

*         Master's degree with course emphasis in research design, statistics, data management and/or institutional planning

*         Experience with Business Objects reporting software and web development software, or equivalent combination of education and experiences.
