The Research and Data Analyst position will have the following responsibilities and duties: * Use knowledge of statistics to create and test predictive analytics models for a variety of data sets * Review raw data and work with other units to verify and correct data for accuracy * Provide analysis of a variety of data sets including summary tables, graphs, and charts * Create and maintain a variety of data files * Create reports in Cognos * Responsible for creating weekly, semester, and annual reports * Serve as the UDS Coordinator for student and enrollment records * Prepare data for external surveys including IPEDS, Common Data Set, and others * Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. A Bachelor's degree is required. 2. Must have experience with statistics, including working with statistical packages such as SPSS or SAS and be proficient in spreadsheet applications or databases. 3. Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills are required. 4. An ability to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision as well as to maintain good records and handle confidential information is essential. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. A Master's degree is preferred. 2. Experience with SQL or other query languages is preferred. 3. Experience with predictive analytics software is desired.
