Director, Student Preparation OSRHE From: Cari Lousch [mailto:Cari.Lousch at act.org] Sent: Tuesday, August 06, 2013 2:36 PM To: Brown, Cynthia (OSRHE) Subject: ACT Spring 2014 DCST (School-Day Testing Program) DATE CONFLICT INFORMATION! Importance: High Hello Cindy: Thanks again for forwarding my email through your listserve to provide School-Day Testing information to Oklahoma schools! We are getting a fantastic response! I have had one recurring issue, however, and wanted to see if we could send the info out quickly so nobody opts out due to scheduling conflicts. I am aware that the March 18 test date falls during Spring Break, and that the April 23 date conflicts with Oklahoma State Writing Tests. There is a simple solution to this conflict. It is perfectly acceptable for schools to choose the March or April date, and then use the "Make-Up Date" as their test date. The make-up dates are April 1 for the March test, and May 7 for the April test. The only issue then is that students who miss on those dates will not have any make-up opportunity. They just miss out. The Eligibility File is due back to ACT by close of business on Friday, August 9. Schools need to complete the License Agreement, the Eligibility File (Appendix E in the Agreement Packet), and the Signed Cancellation Policy at the end of the document. There are instructions for sending TWO copies of the documents back to ACT, including the address they need to use. I just don't want schools to decide not to participate because of test date conflicts for March 18 and April 23. Anyone who has further questions or needs assistance can call or email me directly and I will be happy to help! Thanks again for all you do for Oklahoma kids! : ) Cari Lousch Account Manager: Client Relations 500 ACT Drive Iowa City, Iowa 52243 (319) 541-3836 Mobile -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
