There are 7 openings available for the training at Northeast Technology Center in Kansas, OK April 22. All other locations are full. Administrators, coordinators, teachers, counselors and other personnel may attend this training for a fee of $30.00 per participant. The maximum number of participants for each location is 30 attendees. Donnell Cox, from Sara's Project in Ardmore, (formerly called CSARA Foundation) will be presenting suicide trainings. The cost will be $30.00 per participant. Maximum number at each event is 30 participants. His presentation consists of the following: Safe Talk--- a 3 hour presentation for a strong suicide awareness level and the skills needed to help a person at risk for suicide. Crisis Response Algorithm-- a 90 min. presentation that gives guidance to all levels of participants on best practice planning and responding during a crisis, any crisis; will go through the algorithm as if there was a crisis and the steps needed to respond. Cost--If individuals or groups can travel to Ardmore, there is no charge. In the five county area, (Carter, Johnston, Marshall, Murray, and Love counties), Donnell Cox can go on site for no charge. The registration fee is $300.00 for a 3 day conference which includes 2 nights of lodging and 6 meals.
