[Okepas] Suicide prevention training at FOUR locations across the state

Good morning,
We have added a fourth location for suicide prevention training- April 26 at Gordon Cooper Technology Center, Shawnee.

Donnell Cox, from Sara's Project in Ardmore, (formerly called CSARA Foundation) will be presenting suicide trainings at 4 different locations across the state.
The cost will be $30.00 per participant.    Maximum number at each event is 30 participants.

His presentation consists of the following:
Safe Talk--- a 3 hour presentation for a strong suicide awareness level and the skills needed to help a person at risk for suicide.
Crisis Response Algorithm-- a 90 min. presentation that gives guidance to all levels of participants on best practice planning and responding during a crisis, any crisis; will go through the algorithm as if there was a crisis and the steps needed to respond.

Cost--If individuals or groups can travel to Ardmore, there is no charge. In the five county area, (Carter, Johnston, Marshall, Murray, and Love counties), Donnell Cox can go on site for no charge. Please contact Donnell at Sara's Project, 580.226.7283 to schedule.

For others outside of the above counties, the following trainings will be available from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for a registration fee of $30.00.             February 15 at Autry Technology Center, Enid, OK                    Registration deadline is February 8
            February 22 at Northeast Technology Center, Kansas, OK,       Registration deadline February 15
            March 7 at Western Technology Center, Burns Flat, OK,           Registration deadline February 28
            April 26 at Gordon Cooper Technology Center, Shawnee, OK  Registration deadline April 18

Lunch will be served at each Career Tech for a fee of $10.00, please bring cash for your lunch.

This training provides 3 CEU's for LPC, Drug and Alcohol, and CLEET.
