[OkStudentPrep] Adding ACT scores on your students' transcripts

Good afternoon,
Many of you have noticed that ACT has the following statement in their Pearson Access Next website regarding transcripts:
ACT recommends that schools do not include ACT scores on school transcripts in effort to avoid student privacy concerns or inconsistent score report data. If your school insists on sending scores on a student transcript, ACT recommends documenting consent from the student in advance."

It is a recommendation only by ACT. Schools do have the option of listing the ACT score on the transcript and it is advantageous to do so as it saves parents and students time and the expense of paying for scores to be sent to an institution later.

If your school chooses to not put an ACT score on a transcript, a suggestion would be to add another paper to your enrollment packet, or at the bottom of one of your forms, for parent to sign giving permission to put the ACT scores on their child's transcript.
Have a great evening!
