This year after each of the Student Preparation Workshops you have an opportunity to receive training on FAFSA changes.  Please see the separate registrations for each below.

These are free professional development opportunities around the state for Counselors, Administrators, District Test Coordinators, Curriculum Leaders and Coordinators. Student Preparation Fall Workshop topics will include Student Prep updates, preparing your students for college, concurrent enrollment, PreACT/ACT Updates, OKPromise, ICAP, OKcollegestart, FAFSA, SDE Updates, concurrent enrollment panel and other resources from OSRHE and OCAP.

A BETTER FAFSA: AN OVERVIEW OF THE CHANGES

Held in conjunction with the State Regents' Student Prep Fall Workshops, please make plans to join Oklahoma GEAR UP and Oklahoma College Assistance Program (OCAP) staff as they walk through the changes coming to the 2024-25 FAFSA. The training presenters recently attended the NCAN "Better FAFSA" summit in Washington, D.C. to learn about the new FAFSA experience.

The FAFSA trainings will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. following the Student Prep Fall Workshops. Lunch will be provided to attendees who register three days prior to each training. Please click on this link to register: https://okgearup.org/fafsa_trainings/.
