[OkStudentPrep] Student Preparation 1st year counselor zoom meeting; PreACT; Fall Workshop registration open -please share

Please see important information/upcoming events from the OSRHE Student Preparation for College Readiness office.


1.      If you have a new counselor or DTC, please send the person's email to Sabrina Wood, swood at osrhe.edu<mailto:swood at osrhe.edu> so we can add them to our listserv.


2.      The Student Preparation Team will host a 1st year counselor zoom meeting this Wednesday, August 2nd. Basic information to be covered will include PreACT, Concurrent enrollment, OKPromise, OKcollegestart and FAFSA updates.
               August 2, 2023 from 9:00 until 10:00 am
               Register in advance for this meeting:

               After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.


3.      The Oklahoma State Regents will again fund the 10th grade PreACT for public and private schools. The PreACT is free to ALL schools. The ordering window will open August 1. Do not order before that date, otherwise your school will receive an invoice from ACT. We will send the link to order in an email on this listserv. The testing window will be September 5 through November 17.


4.      Student Preparation Fall Workshops will be hosted in various regions throughout the state during the month of September. Dates, locations and agenda attached above. Registration is available on our website https://www.okhighered.org/student-prep/#fall


5.      Student Preparation will be hosting overnight conferences again this year beginning in October. See the attached flyer for dates, locations, agenda and pricing. Registration will be coming soon on our website https://www.okhighered.org/student-prep/#overnight. Once available, we will send the link to register in an email on this listserv.
