<span class="apple-tab-span">            </span>The School of Science at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites outstanding applications for a new Technical Grant Writer position, starting in early 2014.  The position is a full-time, 12-month staff position.

<span class="apple-tab-span">            </span>The grant writer will support the School of Science by working with the dean, faculty members, and staff members on the development, writing/editing, and submission of competitive grant proposals to external funding
 agencies. The grant writer will work on faculty-based research proposals, major cross-cutting proposals, and department-based proposals. Specific duties of the position include the following:<o:p></o:p></p>

1.<span style="font-size:7.0pt">   </span>Works with the dean, faculty members, and staff members on (a) idea/project/concept development, (b) writing/editing/reviewing, and (c) submission of competitive grant proposals to external funding agencies.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;margin-left:.5in;text-align:justify;text-indent:-.25in">
2.<span style="font-size:7.0pt">   </span>Establishes liaison and maintains cooperative working relationships with other staff members, offices, and/or organizations whose functions impact on assigned responsibilities.<o:p></o:p></p>

 well, including candidates with doctoral degrees, ABD status, and those with baccalaureate degrees and a minimum of six years of relevant experience.<o:p></o:p></p>

The Grant Writer will report directly to the Dean of the School of Science.  Qualifications for the position and personal attributes desired in the successful candidate include:<o:p></o:p></p>
