<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt">The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) was awarded a National Science Foundation - Course, Curriculum, and Laboratory Improvement (CCLI) Phase 2 Award in 2009 (DUE 0920083) to continue our partnership with the National
Council of Instructional Administrators (NCIA) and expand the successful model of our annual, national-level Institutionalizing Undergraduate Research Institute to community colleges. Over the last three years, CUR and NCIA have hosted more than 300 faculty
members at twelve different professional development workshops, designed to help launch undergraduate research programs in a community college setting.
</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><span style="font-size:10.0pt">We are currently soliciting applications for our final workshop to be supported by this grant, and are seeking applications from community colleges with a commitment to developing and enhancing their undergraduate research
programs. This grant-funded workshop will reimburse expenses1 for the selected institutions’ team members to attend the regional workshop,
<em>with the exception of the teams’ travel to the workshop. </em></span><o:p></o:p></p>
