ACL announces one discretionary grant competition for State Training and Technical Assistance for Assistive Technology Programs and National Assistive Technology Public Internet Site under section 6(b) of the AT Act, to fund a cooperative agreement to provide
training and technical assistance to support the entities authorized under section 4 of the AT Act and entities not funded under the AT Act to improve the effectiveness of activities supported under the AT Act, including an assistive technology (AT) Internet
site to provide to the public comprehensive, up-to-date information on resources related to AT and programs funded under the AT Act. ACL takes this action to assist the entities funded under the AT Act to administer and manage their programs in order to improve

a revolving loan fund, a loan guarantee, an insurance program, or additional activities that result in the acquisition of AT devices. Applicants for these grants are required to provide an assurance that, and information describing the manner in which, the
AFP will expand and emphasize consumer choice and control. Applicants should incorporate credit-building activities in their programs, including financial education and information about other possible funding sources. Successful applicants must emphasize
consumer choice and control and build programs that will provide financing for the full array of AT devices and services and ensure that all people with disabilities, regardless of type of disability or health condition, age, level of income, and residence,

(e.g., radio astronomy, earth observation, geospace sciences, and polar research) and other vital spectrum-dependent services (e.g., air traffic control). Ongoing technological progress has created a situation where each application, activity, and service
seeks additional spectrum access. Potential benefits from additional spectrum access include faster communications, new astronomical and scientific discoveries, more energy-efficient cities, increased highway capacity and safety, and more accurate weather
predictions. Achieving these benefits calls for increased use of dynamic spectrum sharing – ways to enable diverse spectrum users to safely operate closer together in space or frequency or to trade spectrum access more rapidly than is possible with traditional

photoreceptors (PRCs) and retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) in the eye. Photoreceptors often called rods and cones are cells in the retina that, when stimulated by light, generate signals the brain perceives as images. The retinal ganglion cells carry these signals
from the photoreceptors to the brain. Although there has been some success in regenerating retinal neurons and connections in fish, mice, and other systems, the ultimate goal of the AGI is to restore vision in humans.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

best conveyed in a well-documented Manual of Procedures (MOP), the development of which represents a costly and time-consuming activity. This FOA is designed to facilitate activities central to the refinement of a study protocol and procedures and the development
of a detailed MOP. The NEI Clinical Study Planning Grant may be used to support the development of a MOP, as well as to conduct preliminary studies to refine study procedures or document recruitment potential. The grant must not be used to generate data on

The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) announces a program that provides NIAMS-supported K01, K08, K23, and K25 recipients the opportunity to apply for Small Grant (R03) support at an appropriate point during the second
to fourth year of their K award. Through the use of this mechanism, which allows up to $100,000 direct costs for the entire project period of up to two years, the NIAMS is seeking to enhance the capability of its scientists to conduct research as they complete
their transition to fully independent investigator status. The R03 grant mechanism supports different types of projects, including pilot and feasibility studies; secondary analysis of existing data; small, self-contained research projects; development of research
methodology; and development of new research technology. The R03 is, therefore, intended to support research projects that can be carried out in a short period of time with limited resources and that provide support, in addition to the career development award,
for a subsequent R01, or equivalent, application. Clinical trials of any phase will not be supported by this FOA.<o:p></o:p></p>
