<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Georgia",serif">SHEEO released a
<a href="https://sheeo.org/sheeo-releases-two-state-authorization-requests-for-proposals/">
request for proposal</a> relating to state authorization. The “<i>Improving State Authorization Learning Community”</i>
</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Georgia",serif">grant is specifically for states and is due at 5 p.m. on December 16, 2019. This project is designed to help states evaluate and strengthen their authorization processes. Besides the recommendations
provided by the recent SHEEO <a href="https://sheeomain.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/SHEEO_StateAuth.pdf">
white paper</a>, there is an expectation that this project will foster original ideas and a forum for states to address and create solutions to common state authorization issues. The learning community will include up to 8 states, with each state receiving
a $15,000 grant to help initiate evaluation and reform efforts. The learning community will meet once in person and three times via webinar over 18 months, functioning as an ongoing state authorization network comprised of the state teams, the SHEEO staff
and subject-matter experts from other education organizations.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

webinar</a> presenting the motivation behind the RFP. Along with the motivation, the webinar serves as a resource for potential projects for this RFP</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Georgia",serif">, as well as presents and discusses potential
