<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">I need to clarify this year’s funding for our summer academies. 2020 summer academies are funded by state appropriated funds, some leftover funds from 2018 (there was not enough to fund any
academies) and also the Oklahoma State Department of Education gave an additional 8% funding from their New Skills for Youth Grant.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ann mentioned setting up a table about summer academies at the Capitol during the next legislative session. I spoke with Dr. Blanke and she said we could possibly do that during Higher Ed day.
