[Cobo] CORE Oklahoma Project-System Wide Initiative

As the majority of you are aware, the State's financial system is being migrated from separate, individual systems to an integrated system utilizing People Soft software.  The targeted implementation date is July 1, 2003.   Since the inception of the project,  there has been an understanding that Higher Education and other State Agencies who currently utilize their own financial systems would continue to interface their data with OSF as they currently do.  Approximately two weeks ago the Coordinator of the CORE project met with the Chancellor and other agency staff to discuss an interface issue which has been identified with the People Soft payroll system.  During this meeting three options were presented by the OSF staff as possible approaches Higher Education could take to solve the issue.   In a subsequent meeting another option was presented to the OSF Coordinator as a potential option to pursue.  The attached document briefly discusses the options that have been identified.  This document was presented at the President's Council today and the Presidents requested a copy be provided to the Business Officers with the intent of discussing the issue at the December 12th Business Officer's meeting.  We look forward to your input at the next meeting
