[Cobo] FW: Important Budget Requirements for FY07

Business Officers,

 

The State Regents will have a specially called meeting next Friday, June
23, 2006, to approve the allocations for FY07.  This special meeting
will allow you to determine your tuition rates and complete the FY07
budgets before the end of the current fiscal year.  Budget Allocation
packets will be ready for pick up at 3:00 pm on June 23.  As is the
usual process, someone should be designated to sign for your packets,
please coordinate with your Presidents as this has caused some confusion
in the past.

 

We are asking that you provide to this office by close of business (5:00
pm) Tuesday, June 27, 2006, a minimum of three budget schedules:
Schedule F, Schedule G, and the Background Schedules on Salary of
Schedule 1 and Schedule 1-A.   These forms are attached for your
reference.

 

You may choose to complete the full budget and submit the full seven
hole-punched copies if you have your work completed by that date (June
27.)

 

The complete Summary and Analysis won't be compiled and presented to the
State Regents until the September meeting.  If your agency chooses to
submit the minimum number of budget forms requested for June 27, then
completed full budget forms will be due by August 1, 2006.

 

You are being asked to submit the electronic version of the budget in
the CORE System by no later than June 29, 2006.  This will allow this
office to submit to OSF immediately upon approval by the State Regents
to the Office of State Finance.

 

The tuition request forms will also be due by close of business June 27,
2006.  Presidents will not be required to make tuition presentations to
the Regents.

 

Revised Budget Timeline for FY07:

 

June 23, 2006    State Regents meet to allocate FY07 Funds

June 23, 2006    Budget Packets available after 3:00 pm

June 27, 2006    Tuition Request Forms due by close of business

June 27, 2006    Budget Schedules due by close of business  (minimum of
Schedule F, Schedule G and Salary increase forms:  Schedules 1 and 1-A)

June 29, 2006    State Regents meet to approve tuition requests and FY07
Budgets

June 29, 2006    Electronic entry required in the CORE System.

 

As this is a very condensed schedule for all of us, we are asking that
