Subject:          Update on Board of Equalization Meeting


This morning I attended the State Board of Equalization meeting at the State Capitol in Oklahoma City.

At the meeting, the Board of Equalization certified $6.039 billion for FY18, which is $868.8 million (-12.6%) less than FY17 state appropriations.

Additionally, the Board of Equalization unanimously voted to approve our FY18 funding estimate for Oklahoma's Promise scholarships in the amount of $74.3 million, which the State Regents previously approved at our October 20, 2016 State Regents meeting.
