Subject: No-Cost HEERF Extension to June 30, 2023
Importance: High

Good morning Presidents,

Education Secretary James Kvaal announced last week that the U.S. Department of Education will extend the performance period of all open Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) grants with more than $1,000 of unspent funds to June 30, 2023. USDE is expected to publish a notice in the Federal Register regarding this extension in the coming weeks. Some institutions across the nation have reported already receiving notification from USDE, but no official written guidance has been made available online yet. We will let you know when official guidance is published online.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.

Kylie
