[Cobo] Budget Needs Survey: Extended Window for Transmittal

Ladies and Gentlemen:

As many of you may have already heard from your Presidents, as part of a budget timeline discussion at this morning's Council of Presidents meeting the idea of allowing for adjustments to your Budget Needs Survey was addressed. While the deadline for transmittal to the State Regents was October 1st, the collective decision was made to allow for adjustments to be made to your survey and, to allow for the changes, a new deadline of Friday, October 4, 2024 for receipt was established.

The extension and possible adjustments to institutional surveys will, we hope, allow for a more robust information flow to the policymakers in the Legislature and the Executive Office, providing a broader understanding of the operational (and capital) strategies and needs for each institution in the system.

Please make every effort to submit an amended survey to me as soon as possible. I know the new deadline is essentially immediate, but I hope the extension provides you with an opportunity to perform a review of your budget priorities. You should submit any revised FY26 Budget Need Survey using the forms originally circulated to you on August 27, 2024, and submit by email to ycollier at osrhe.edu<mailto:ycollier at osrhe.edu>.

While this is rather spontaneous in its form, I will do my best to answer any questions you might have. Once received, we may be contacting you should we have questions.
