[Cobo] Selection of Nick Hathaway as Next OSRHE Vice Chancellor for Budget and Finance

Good afternoon Business Officers,

I am pleased to share that Nick Hathaway has been selected to serve as the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education's next Vice Chancellor for Budget and Finance, effective July 21, 2025.

Nick brings more 30 years of leadership experience in higher education and public service, including more than two decades at the University of Oklahoma, where he served as Executive Vice President and Vice President for Administration and Finance. Most recently, he has served as Vice President for Business and Finance at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, where he has led key initiatives in budgeting, operations, and strategic planning. His experience across both comprehensive research institutions and smaller regional campuses gives him a deep understanding of the diverse needs of our state system.

Nick will succeed Mark Tygret, who will retire on August 31 after many years of outstanding service to Oklahoma higher education and the State of Oklahoma. The overlap in their tenure will provide for a smooth transition and ensure continuity in key budget and finance operations. We are deeply grateful to Mark for his leadership, professionalism, and steadfast commitment to the State Regents' work.
