I like the idea of bringing it back as a forum to highlight uncoiled events. At the next meeting we can talk about what content we want put up there. In the meantime, maybe Sheila can change the blog link to indicate "archive" until then?

I think those are good solutions. :)

A good solution may be to archive the blog in some way and link to it or change the blog link on the homepage to indicate it is not current. I just think something needs to be done and that might be reviving the blog.

If I remember, it had been awhile since it was used when COIL started it up again in 2011. I would think that it's up to each successive COIL Chair, whether or not they want to use it. It was a fantastic tool for highlighting the speakers and other unCOILed events that year- so I wouldn't necessarily want to just tear it down. It has potential... BUT, if it's not being used, it certainly doesn't look great for us.
People might want to dig back to it some time for information posted there. Some members did some really great posts.

Hi everyone,
Kate's email just reminded me of our own COIL Blog. When I looked at it the latest post is from 2011 and it is Emily asking people to register for uncoiled 2011. I think if no one is going to blog then we should maybe take the account down or at least take the link off our homepage so it is harder to find.
What are your thoughts?
