From aembry at rsu.edu Mon Mar 31 09:46:39 2014 From: aembry at rsu.edu (Allison Embry) Date: Mon, 31 Mar 2014 14:46:39 +0000 Subject: [Coil-l] March and April Message-ID: Hello Everyone, This month flew by! With Spring break and everything going on here at RSU, a full March meeting was next to impossible. However, all of our officers have been working on planning the summer conference through email. Here is the breakdown of everything that is going on. * As you know, our conference is scheduled for July 18th at OSU Tulsa. At our February meeting, we agreed to keep the registration fee to about $10. The registration fee will include a continental breakfast, but not lunch. Really, there are too many good restaurants in downtown Tulsa to stay in, and I don't think anyone wants to be cooped up for seven or eight hours. * Call for proposals will open this Friday, April 4th and close on May 4th. All presentations should fit within the teaching with technology theme in some way. A link to the LibGuide containing all proposal information will be sent out soon. * Registration for the conference will open June 1st. * Our wonderful Megan Donald is working on a LibGuide for the conference that will contain all proposal and registration information. * April and Jamie are in charge of our social media pages, and are doing a fantastic job. Keep up the great work! I know I said that we would alternate between meeting virtually and face to face. Unfortunately, because April is such a busy month, I think a virtual meeting would work best. (Between OLA, OK-ACRL board meetings, and other conferences, there is too much going on.) Then we will meet face to face in May and June. I would like to hold our May meeting in the OKC area, so our OKC folks don't have to drive to Tulsa this time. Does this work for everyone? Is anyone in the OKC area willing to host our May meeting? Let me know.
