Hello all!

As we look ahead to this Friday, the NSU Libraries are excited to host the May COIL meeting! Our librarians who are presenting on the Big Read are looking forward to sharing with those of you who are able to attend.

I wanted to update everyone that construction began on the John Vaughan Library (NSU Tahlequah) parking lot this morning and will be unavailable the rest of this week. I'm attaching a campus map to help guide you all not only to the Library, but the designated parking lot we've now been asked to use.

A few written directions (graphics from map listed in parenthesis):

  *   Just north of the intersection of Grand and Crafton, turn (west) into campus (see downward facing arrow).
  *   The library is building #6 on the map, and the parking lot we'll use is to the west, closer to Wilson Hall, #32 (see star).
  *   Please walk around the Library to the south entrance and enter there (see upward facing arrow).
  *   I've reserved 12 parking passes, which can be picked up at the south desk. If it isn't raining, we will meet in this area to walk downtown to Vidalia's, #84 (see circle).
  *   If you're just joining us for the afternoon meeting, it will take place in Lab 105, closer to the north side of the building.
If anyone has difficulty with directions, parking, etc. please let me know.

Our next meeting will be May 29th at NSU Tahlequah.

We will first have lunch at Vidalia's Café<https://www.facebook.com/pages/Vidalias-Cafe-Catering/151096551623245> in downtown Tahlequah at 11:30 a.m. Vidalia’s is located at 319 North Muskogee Avenue, Tahlequah, OK 74464.

Vidalia's is about a half mile from the Library for those interested in walking. If you would like to walk you can meet Sarah Whittle in the Library around 11:15 a.m. to walk together. Otherwise, there is a small parking lot beside Vidalia's (and the NSU Art Gallery) and free parallel parking alongside both sides of the street.

At 1:00 p.m. Pamela Louderback and Tamara Kharabora from the NSU Broken Arrow Library, and SophiaBeverley Threatt from the NSU John Vaughan Library, will present in Library computer lab 105 on different aspects of the Big Read: the grant process, the partnerships with local schools and the Broken Arrow reading clinic, and specific outreach events the NSU Libraries have hosted for the campus and public.

There is a large parking lot just outside of the north side of the Library, but a guest parking pass is preferred so you won't get a ticket. Feel free to reply to the Listserv or e-mail Sarah directly (burkhead at nsuok.edu<mailto:burkhead at nsuok.edu>) to RSVP.
