Hello all,

With spring break right around the corner (for many of us), I wanted to be
proactive in reminding everyone about our March COIL meeting, which will
take place online (TBA) Friday, March 25. We will discuss the book *Rethinking
Reference for Academic Libraries: Innovative Developments and Future Trends
<https://rowman.com/ISBN/9781442244528/Rethinking-Reference-for-Academic-Libraries-Innovative-Developments-and-Future-Trends>
*eds. Carrie Forbes and Jennifer Bowers.

We won't have time to cover every chapter in the book, but I think we could
easily manage discussing around five chapters (10 minutes per chapter = 50
minute meeting). For those of you who have/had access, would anyone like to
volunteer to lead a discussion over a particular chapter? I think it would
be insightful for us to hear one another's experiences and opinions.

Are there *three more volunteers* to cover *three other chapters*? If so,
please feel free to reply to the listerv to let everyone know your
preference.
Attached is the agenda with some general discussion guidelines we can

for you, though!

Dear Chris,

I believe it was your initial e-mail that spurred us to choose this same
book as a COIL-wide book club, which we've never done before! I appreciate
you volunteering to lead discussion on Chapter 9. I'm working my way
through the book and am currently on Chapter 7, but look forward to
finishing the later chapters...especially since I've volunteered to lead
discussion on Chapter 13. ha!

Thanks again for your willingness to help share leadership in our book

Hello all,

As a reminder, this Friday (25th) is our March COIL meeting, which will
take place via Blackboard Collaborate at 1:00 p.m. I believe we'll be able
to have a live audio/video feed, as well as a text box to chat.

*If you are available and interested in joining the meeting, please e-mail
me (or reply to this message) and I will send you an invitation link to
join the conversation.*

Also, if anyone is interested in leading a short discussion about one of
the book chapters, we can still accommodate two more volunteers. Chapters
9, 11, and 13 are already taken, but any of the rest are up for grabs!

Even if you haven't read the book, I hope you'll be able to join our
*Rethinking
Reference for Academic Libraries *conversation this Friday!

As a reminder, this Friday (25th) is our March COIL meeting, which will take place via Blackboard Collaborate at 1:00 p.m. I believe we'll be able to have a live audio/video feed, as well as a text box to chat.

If you are available and interested in joining the meeting, please e-mail me (or reply to this message) and I will send you an invitation link to join the conversation.

Also, if anyone is interested in leading a short discussion about one of the book chapters, we can still accommodate two more volunteers. Chapters 9, 11, and 13 are already taken, but any of the rest are up for grabs!

Even if you haven't read the book, I hope you'll be able to join our Rethinking Reference for Academic Libraries conversation this Friday!

Hello all,

With spring break right around the corner (for many of us), I wanted to be proactive in reminding everyone about our March COIL meeting, which will take place online (TBA) Friday, March 25. We will discuss the book Rethinking Reference for Academic Libraries: Innovative Developments and Future Trends<https://rowman.com/ISBN/9781442244528/Rethinking-Reference-for-Academic-Libraries-Innovative-Developments-and-Future-Trends> eds. Carrie Forbes and Jennifer Bowers.

We won't have time to cover every chapter in the book, but I think we could easily manage discussing around five chapters (10 minutes per chapter = 50 minute meeting). For those of you who have/had access, would anyone like to volunteer to lead a discussion over a particular chapter? I think it would be insightful for us to hear one another's experiences and opinions.

Are there three more volunteers to cover three other chapters? If so, please feel free to reply to the listerv to let everyone know your preference.
Attached is the agenda with some general discussion guidelines we can incorporate to streamline our discussion over these five chapters. If you're leading a chapter feel free to customize these to what works best for you, though!

Look for more information the week of the meeting regarding the online platform we will use.
