Happy Day after IWS 9!

Thank you so much for support this year!  We had another full house with great attendees, speakers, and sponsors!  As I slowly emerge from my IWS 9 cloud I will be sending out various emails regarding upcoming events, intelligence documents, and opportunities.   There will no November members meeting due to upcoming other events.

Our local ISAC chapter is hosting their Fall Security Conference on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at the National Weather Center in Norman, Oklahoma.  They have plenty of room and have invited our chapter to participate.

Registration is FREE but REQUIRED. (See link below)

We sincerely hope you will be able to attend, and believe you will greatly benefit from this conference!  Not only do we have outstanding speakers, but participants can earn up to 6 CEUs for attending.  The Agenda is attached, but topics include:

*         Establishing an Insider Threat Program

*         Security Awareness & Training

*         Operations Security (OPSEC)

*         JTTF Terrorism Briefing

*         Leveraging Resources to Increase Security Training & Awareness

Finally, a heart-felt thank you for special people that made this event possible:

*         A HUGE THANK YOU to Andrew Reader at OU for helping us find an alternate location after our room at Rose State fell through!  Andrew has reserved the large lecture hall in the National Weather Center that will accommodate up to 300 participants and has made arrangements for OU to cover the cost of the room.

*         Thank you to John Brown and the NCMS Board for allowing us to partner with them with the four-hour NSTi training by Steve Rutledge.

*         Thank you to the ISAC Board for agreeing to pay all the costs associated with the conference so we can provide it to you free of charge.
