Dear COPLAC Colleagues:
I thought I would share this information about the Annual HEDS Conference.
One does not have to be a member of HEDS to attend the conference.
Sincerely,
Bill

Hi Bill,
I hope you are doing well. We have a preliminary schedule for the upcoming
HEDS Consortium Annual Conference with a list of presenters and topics
available on our website, and I was wondering if you might want to share
this information with the COPLAC membership. Please see message below.
Thank you!
Libby
Subject Line: HEDS Annual Conference - June 13-17, Portland, Oregon
It’s not too late to register for the 31st Annual Conference of the Higher
Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS) at the Embassy Suites in downtown
Portland, Oregon on June 13-17, 2015. The annual conference brings together
people in an informal setting to present on and discuss topics related to
assessment, institutional research, and institutional effectiveness. We
welcome participants from all colleges and universities – *you do not have
to be from a HEDS institution to attend*.
*Keynote speakers and topics this year:*
- *William C. Hiss*, principal investigator for "Defining Promise:
Optional Standardized Testing Policies in American College and University
Admissions"
- *Gina Johnson* (University of Denver) on the future of institutional
research
- *Jon McGee* (College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's
University), *Frank
A. Boyd, Jr.* (Illinois Wesleyan University), and *Rick Detweiler*
(Great Lakes College Association) on the marketplace for higher education
- *Josipa Roksa* (University of Virginia) on postcollege outcomes
*Our annual conferences are uniquely designed to facilitate good
conversations and networking opportunities: *
- We hold few concurrent sessions so that everyone can attend sessions
together.
- Lunch is included in the registration fee to allow conversations to
continue between sessions
- Optional group dinners and outings give you time after sessions to
connect with your colleagues.
We hope to see you there. Please feel free to share this information with
your colleagues.
