[Counselors] Online Free Credit Recovery Through Edmentum

Q. Are other schools/counselors participating in the online free credit recovery option that the OSDE is offering through Edmentum? Is there any hesitancy or worry about lack of accountability or validity? Or is this a great opportunity for students and we should jump on board? Trying to get other districts' thoughts and opinions before the May 25th deadline to sign up. Thanks!

A. We are going to use it as a great opportunity and see how it works out.

Several of you asked for more information on this. This is not through our agency, but SDE sent out information in their recent Student Development newsletter. I am including the information below. Please sign up for their newsletter if you are not getting it! I believe it still says “counselor” when you sign up, not Student Development.
