Good afternoon!
Several of you and your peers from around the state have reached out for guidance on transcript services. With the end of the statewide Parchment transcript service, what are schools doing? Have you decided to stay with Parchment? Are you moving to another service? Anything you can share with your peers is appreciated.
We stayed with Parchment. They had three options we could take. I don't
remember them all nor did we price them all. The option we took doesn't
cost us anything. We can still process graduated requests for transcripts
and third party employment verifications. Plus we still make a little bit
of money from those requests. Not much but some. The one thing we can't do anymore is process current student requests to colleges. We are back to doing that the old school way, via email to colleges or wherever they are needing it sent. I don't know if all colleges still take them this way as we have used Parchment for so long.
We liked Parchment for that because it time stamped and documented
everything. So when we heard, "They said they didn't receive it" we could
say, "Yes, they did". amber.harp at littleaxeps.org
We DID NOT remain with PARCHMENT. I have been sending transcripts to college/universities through the respective admission email address I have. Cchaffin at pvps.us
