To D2L Self-Hosted Clients:

Please be advised that Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 contains Powershell
3.0 as part of Windows Framework 3.0, which is not compatible with
Desire2Learn deployment software.

 

We recommend that you do not upgrade your D2L servers to this Microsoft
Framework at this time. 

 

If you have already upgraded your D2L environment to this Service Pack,
we recommend that you uninstall the Windows Framework 3.0 until we have
a resolution to this issue. Uninstall information can be found here:

If your servers contain this Microsoft Framework, Desire2Learn will be
unable to carry out any deployments or upgrades to your site. As a
result, any deployments or upgrades may potentially be delayed and/or
rescheduled. This includes Service Packs, hotfixes, version upgrades,
tool deployments, customization deployments, etc.
