Hello,

The reason we are estimating the 2 days is that we are upgrading multiple versions and also this is based on a general environment. But we now have site details which will help us with a better estimate. I'll get back to you all tomorrow to see if we can reduce the duration.

I echo Chris's concerns. We informed our faculty that the outage would only be the one day and that students would have access later that evening.

No other upgrades have lasted this long...is this just a typo?

We never planned for the upgrade to last through 4 PM on the 7th. Since this occurs at the first of our interim session, it will impact our users significantly. Hello,

This is just a reminder that your 10.3 SP1 prod environment upgrade is scheduled for Jan. 6th and 7th,  starting at 8:00am ET, and finish around 4pm ET on Jan. 7th.  Your site will be down for the duration of the upgrade. We will let you know once it is complete.

Please review the following KB article to prepare for the this upgrade: KB0015646<https://helpdesk.desire2learn.com/kb_view.do?sys_kb_id=24074e972d1991807cf498e8848c7f49>.

Also ensure that someone from IT is available on your side during the upgrade in case of any unexpected situations that we cannot handle.

Powershell 3 isn’t compatible with D2L at this time. If this pertains to your environment, before we start the upgrade, please downgrade to Powershell 2 on all servers within this environment.

For this upgrade, Windows 2008 R2 is required.
