Greetings.  I guess by now you have had time to reflect on what you gained
(or didn't) at our meeting at RCC.  I would like for you to share some of
your thoughts with all of us.  I promised someone that I would put the names
of some books on the listserv.  These are books for teaching basic language
skills, and about teaching in general.
These are not books that I have read but are books that teachers have
recommended to me.   The first is Multisensory Teaching of Basic Language
Skills by Judith Birse, and published by Brookes.  The second is A Mind At a
Time by Mel Levine, M.D. and published by Simon and Schuster.  There is also
a web site you might want to visit.  www.payneeducationcenter.org.  These
folks come highly recommended.  I also promised I would give you my idea of
what A-F papers are.  I will send that tomorrow.
