[Eoscstudents] Menu for Wed. Aug. 30 Bike drawing day

Hi everyone,

Today's the day for our big Dr. Pepper bicycle and helmet drawing, so if 
you are a currently enrolled Eastern student and haven't entered yet, 
time is running out.  (Remember, only one entry per student, please.)  
We will be drawing out the winning name at 1:15, right after we finish 
serving lunch.  We will then verify the enrollment status of the winner 
with the Dean of Students, and contact that person.  We would like to 
get a picture taken of the winner with their prize as soon as possible 
to put in the next issue of the Statesman and the local papers.

Here's another chance to voice your opinion without even having to 
register to vote.  One of our ladies brought in a newspaper today that 
had an article about the Oklahoma state quarter that is scheduled to be 
issued in May 2008.   The people of Oklahoma are being asked to vote for 
their favorite of the 10 designs being considered by going online at 
www.gov.ok.gov/coin.php.  You can vote for your favorite until September 
20.  Governor Brad Henry then has to submit up to five designs to the U. 
S. Mint by Sept. 29.  (The article does state that the U. S. Mint may 
use one of the suggestions from the Governor or it may come up with one 
of it's own.)  Some of the images contained in the designs are the 
outline of the state of Oklahoma, the Pioneer Woman statue in Ponca 
City, an oil derrick, 46 stars (symbolizing our ranking as the 46th 
state), and the Scissortail Flycatcher (our state bird), among others.   

Our menu for today includes:

          Mexican bake
          Mashed potatoes and gravy
          Capri blend vegetables
          Okra
          Corn on the cob
          Rice
          Baked potato bar
          Rolls
         
Our fast food is Pizza!

And for dessert we have Bread Pudding.
