Hi folks,
I hope you all enjoyed the Thanksgiving menu we served here yesterday.
My daughter got a taste of the banana pie and insisted that we get the
recipe. She claims it was the best pie on the planet. Not being a big
fan of banana, (I ate way too many of them once when I was a kid and
they haven't appealed to me that much since), I just had some pretzel
salad to finish off my meal, although that cherry or strawberry cream
pie sure looked good.
I don't know about you, but I'm starting to count down the hours til
Thanksgiving break. I'm ready for some time off. I don't know what
anyone else's plans are at my house, but I plan on sleeping in several
days. I feel like I have some catching up to do in the sleep
department. (And the housework department too, but that will have to
wait until the sleep thing is taken care of. First things first.)
Our menu for today includes:
Chicken strips
Potato casserole
Gravy
Dressing
Corn
Green beans
Chili dogs
French fries
Hot rolls
And for dessert have a helping of Apricot Cobbler.
