Hi folks,

I was in that vague half asleep/half awake state last night or early
this morning when I registered a change in the background noise level in
my room. I woke up enough to realize that the fan had just gone off and
come back on for some reason. That made me paranoid. I twisted around
to look at the clock and sure enough, it was blinking 12:00, 12:00,
12:00... Somehow with my fuzzy brain and my fumbly fingers, I managed
to get it back on the right time and set the alarm for a.m., not p.m.
the way I usually manage to do, so I could get to work this morning.
Mildred said her electricity had gone off at about 3:00 something and
didn't come back on til she was leaving to go to work. She was a little
worried what her makeup looked like since she had to put it on on the
porch, but it was fine. I still don't know what caused the problem, but
fortunately at my house, it was just a momentary lapse.

Well, the latest word is that we'll be moving next week. Evidently
there were some things that still needed taken care of before we could
get on with it this week. Next week it's really got to happen, though.
We'll have to be over there before our Singing School camp gets here the
week after next.

I hate to disappoint you fast food fans out there, but our grill will be
closed today. We'll have it back up and running next week unless I'm
informed otherwise, in which case I'll pass that along to you.

Don't forget about the Pie Auction at Red Oak School at 7:00 this
Saturday night to benefit the Latimer County Arts Council. The Red Oak
Masons are sponsoring this event to help us raise money to bring
wonderful entertaining and educational programs to our area schools.
And don't forget, if you would like to support this worthy cause but
can't attend the auction, you can contact me or any other Arts Council
member to relay your donation.

Our menu for today includes:
                Pork chops
                Mashed potatoes and gravy
                Corn
                Green beans
Hot turkey or ham with cheese
                Potato chips
                Hot rolls

And for dessert have some luscious Orange Cake.

Have a great weekend,

Rhoda :-)
