Hi folks,

This rainy weather may not be real great for outdoor sports, (unless 
you're into mud wrestling), but it surely can't hurt conditions in 
general, considering this part of the state is under a burn ban due to 
the fire danger caused by the extremely dry weather we've been having.  
This ban has already caused the cancellation of the Fall Fire and Franks 
bonfire that was scheduled for next week.  I haven't heard if this might 
be rescheduled if the burn ban is lifted or not.

Big Happy Birthday wishes go out today to a longtime member of our 
Maintenance Department.  Danny Foster is now officially 50 (going on 21, 
according to him).   There have been several worthy members join the 
Nifty Fifty Club this year, and I'm right behind them, so just keep 
celebrating, gang!   Of course, Danny's been celebrating for all 50 
years now and isn't likely to let turning 50 slow him down a bit.  (And 
if that name sounds familiar to you, Danny is also the person who 
reports our local temperatures and weather conditions to the Channel 6 
Weather Department.)

Our menu for today includes:
          Chicken alfredo
          Pasta
          Baked potatoes
          Garden blend rice
          Black eyed peas
          Fried okra
          Garlic bread sticks

And for dessert, have a piece of Earthquake Cake.
