[Eoscstudents] Grant Aid Scholarship

The list of students who were eligible and signed up for Grant Aid has 
been sent to Financial Aid, and we should hear back on those receiving 
the scholarship by next week. 
If you signed up and have not completed your workshops, you will not 
receive the grant.  You have until Friday to complete those!
Contact me or June Haynes to complete them.  Ms. Howe is out of the 
office this week.

The competition for the grant this semester is very great, so all things 
will be considered. 
    1.   Receiving Pell
    2.  Have an unmet need of $555
    3.  Completed 5 workshops and other contacts
    4.  Above 2.0 GPA
    5.  Credit hours

The first two are requirements of the Dept. of Education.  The 3rd one 
is an SSS requirement, and the last two are flexible under the right 
conditions. Credit hours will be looked at, and students who have an 
excess of hours needed to graduate, and/or low GPA will be eliminated 
unless there is money enough for them.  We have a lump sum that we will 
distribute, and we want to make it go as far as it can.
