Hi folks,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Fall Break. The weather was great for
Fall Festival at Robber's Cave, and there were lots of people out there
enjoying getting out, shopping, eating, walking around and just seeing
everything. The rain we got Saturday night was a very welcome and much
needed occurrence, too.

Very Happy Birthday wishes go out today to Sue Lovett, the director of
Student Support Services, just one of the wonderful programs available
to assist Eastern's students in their goal of obtaining their degree.

If you have a nomination you'd like to submit for the Employee of the
Month, please do so this week. Nominations may be given to any Staff
Council member, or deposited in the Suggestion Box in the Mail Room in
Choctaw Hall.

This Wednesday, you have another chance to "Make Your Mark" here at
Eastern, by getting your photo in the next Mountaineer yearbook. If you
missed the first round of photos taken a while back, be sure and come in
to the Cafeteria this Wednesday, smile and say "Cheese".

This Thursday, there will be a PAWS, Partners for Animal Welfare
Society, meeting at the Latimer County Public Library at 7:00 p.m.
Anyone interested in our organization should plan to attend. If you
love animals, especially dogs, you belong in PAWS. Please come join
us. We'd love to have you!

This Friday is Student Appreciation Day in the Bookstore. Students
should be sure and go by there, visit with the friendly staff, and enjoy
their FREE SANDWICH TRAY, FREE FRUIT TRAY and FREE COFFEE all day! They
will also be having a drawing for a FREE HOODIE OF YOUR CHOICE. All you
have to do to be eligible to win this is to visit the EOSC Bookstore on
Face Book and click "Like", then click "Like" on the contest status
box. (The deadline for entering this contest is Thursday, so that the
winner can be announced on Friday.)

On Sunday, Julie Moss of our Computer Services Department, and EOSC
farmland, Leon Hanebrink, will celebrate birthdays.

All clubs have a week left to prepare for the Halloween Carnival and
Homecoming Week activities, so get busy!

Lunch menus for the week include:

Monday: Spaghetti and meat sauce, broccoli, corn, fried squash,
bread sticks, chocolate cake

Tuesday: Roast beef or chicken and dumplings, mashed potatoes and
gravy, English peas, Cape Cod vegetables, baby carrots, hot
            rolls, lemon and chocolate pies.

Wednesday: Pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, cabbage, black-eyed
peas, corn, stuffing, hot rolls, cherry cobbler

Thursday: Cube steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans,
