[Eoscstudents] VOTER REGISTRATION contest - week of Sept. 19-23rd - FRIDAY TOO!! Student Center

Eastern’s Phi Theta Kappa and Honors students are conducting the Voice your
Vote Registration contest this week.

 

We had a really good response today, so thanks to all who came by and filled
out the Voters Registration form.

 

The PTK and Honors students want to continue this again on Friday in the
Student Center
. so the table will be set up and available again from 12 –
1:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Student Center.

There will be FREE PIZZA and drinks for all those who sign up!! 

 

Here is how you can help the students in the contest
 Fill out a Voter
Registration form if you:

§  have NEVER registered to vote  

§  have registered previously but have changed your name  since that time

§  have registered previously but have a new address (even if it’s in the
same town) 

§  have registered previously but would like to change your party
affiliation

 

 

DRAWING for $100 total cash prizes:  1st place $50; 2nd place $30; 3rd place
$20

If you sign a registration card, you can place a name card in the drawing
hopper. 

If you bring find someone who is not registered and encourage them to fill
one out , then you both can fill out a name card for the drawing hopper.

 

COME SEE US IN THE STUDENT CENTER FRIDAY 12-1:30 P.M.----FREE PIZZA for
those who bring or sign a registration form at the table set up inside (due
to rain)

If you are already registered but can bring someone over who is not, you can
have the free piece of Pizza too!!

 

PTK and Honors Students will have forms in all classes they attend tomorrow
(Friday) or you may drop by my office in Mitchell 115 to fill out a form.

 

This is a contest for our Eastern Students, but more than that, it’s also a
civic duty that we can use to help and encourage our students to become
involved and have a voice in issues that affect their daily lives.
