Hi folks,
 
Can you believe it's December?!  With this warm, windy weather, it sure doesn't feel like it but with the employees Christmas party and the Regent's Christmas party scheduled for this week that should get us in the holiday mood.    
 
There is a Flute Recital scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 in the Choir Room, so if you love beautiful flute music, try and find time to attend.
 
The annual Employees Christmas Party will be held Wed. afternoon in the Ballroom.  I hope all Eastern's employees will be able to attend this festive event.  And the Board of Regents Christmas Party will be held Friday evening to finish out the week.
 
Birthdays this week at Eastern include our Post Office Attendant, David Martinez, on Thurs.,  and Dean of Behavioral and Social Sciences Division, Ms. Marilynn Duncan, and Math Professor Phillip Hawthorne on Friday.  I hope they all enjoy their special day.    
 
Our menus for this week include:
 
Monday:  Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, corn, fried okra, biscuits, peach cobbler.
 
Tuesday:  Meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, broccoli, baby carrots, garden blend rice, hot rolls, pumpking pie cake.
 
Wednesday:  Smoked sausage with potatoes, onions and peppers, corn on the cob, butter beans, hot rolls, apple cobbler.
 
Thursday:  Roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried squash, winter blend vegetables, macaroni and cheese, hot rolls, bread pudding.
 
Friday:  Tacos, Mexican rice, refried beans, chili cheese corn, cornbread or fish and fries, Oreo cheesecake.
