Hi folks,

There was officially frost this morning! Time to dig out the scraper and de-icer and be ready for whatever Mother Nature wants to dish out. Make sure your outside pets have plenty of food and warm bedding, and I hope you've already brought in whatever plants you need to.

I hope everyone is ready for a busy week on campus! There are activities scheduled for every day this week leading up to the big Homecoming Parade and Games on Saturday. There will be a variety of Minute to Win It games each day Mon. thru Fri. at 4:00 at the Clock Tower, so come try your luck and skill and earn Spirit Points for your club. This evening's special activity will be an amazing show by Craig Karges, Mentalist, at 6:00 in the Ballroom. Tuesday will bring the long awaited "Mr. Eastern" Beauty? Pageant at 7:00 in Mitchell Auditorium. Wednesday, Halloween, Eastern will once again host a community carnival and Trunk or Treat for the kids from 4:30 to 7:00. Bring your little ghost and goblins and come on out for a good time. Thursday, there will be a Spirit Bonfire behind Choctaw Hall at 7:00, and a concert by Bo Phillips (Buffalo Valley native, and brother of Stoney LaRue), at 8:00 in the Fieldhouse. Be sure and attend the Happy Hour Meet and Greet for our Basketball Teams in the Cafeteria at 2:30 on Friday. And Friday evening there will be a banquet to honor several people very special to Eastern. Saturday will start early with the Hill Topper's Breakfast, a get together for retired Eastern employees. At 11:00, the Homecoming Parade will roll down Wilburton's Main Street, followed by special reunions of the Class of 1962 and Baseball from 11:30 to 2:30 in the Ballrooms, and a Homecoming picnit on campus at 12:00. The Homecoming games will begin at 3:00 when the Lady Mountaineers take on the Rhema Bible Eagles in the Fieldhouse. Homecoming Coronation will be at 4:30, immediately following the women's game. The Men's game will begin at 5:00, and the Spirit Stick and Float Awards will be will be announced at half time of the men's game.

On Tuesday, Julie Moss of our Computer Services Dept., will celebrate her birthday, and Thursday, Paula Ogden of our Custodial Dept. will celebrate hers. Be sure and wish these wonderful ladies a terrific day!
