Hi folks,
 
I hope you all got to attend the open house at Eastern's new state-of-the-art greenhouse on campus last Friday.  It is a wonderful new facility and I know Penny and her students are very proud to have it.  They have a good variety of plants, with the pansies and violas being especially colorful and eye catching.  If you didn't make it Friday, I understand they will be open for business Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a variety of plants for sale.  Go check it out!
 
Wednesday at 2:00 there will be a building monitors' meeting in Mitchell 206.  All building monitors should try to attend.  
 
Thursday evening at 6:00 there will be a PAWS meeting at the public library.  All of you who love dogs are invited, and if you're a student who loves dogs and has a community service to fulfill, we'd be glad to have you as a volunteer.
 
Students, if your meal plan is not stretching far enough, or if you'd like to get a free meal and meet some wonderful new people, try attending the weekly free lunch every Thursday from Noon to 1:30 at the Church of Christ Student Center, one block east of campus (toward town).  There is always a wonderful FREE meal, along with a small devotional service that will help stretch your meal plan and lift your spirit.
 
And another FREE meal is offered by the United Ministries, just east of campus, across from Miller Hall.  This wonderful group hosts a free dinner every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. followed by worship.  Go see them, they'd love to meet you!
 
Lunch menus for the week include:
 
Monday:  Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, garden blend rice, fried okra, corn, biscuits, fresh apple cake.
 
Tuesday:  Lasagna, buttered potatoes, green beans, fried squash, baby carrots, garlic bread, blueberry cheesecake.
 
Wednesday:  Brisket, loaded baked potato casserole, baked beans, corn on the cob, macaroni and cheese, hot rolls, peach cobbler.
 
Thursday:  Jambalaya, steamed red potatoes, fresh broccoli with cheese sauce, English peas, meadow blend vegetables, hot rolls, fruit cocktail cake.
 
Friday:  Baked tilapia or shrimp poppers, scalloped potatoes, pinto beans, Brussels sprouts, Monterrey blend vegetables, cornbread, chocolate delight.
 
Dinner menus include:
 
Monday:  Beef fajitas, Mexican rice, refried beans, cheesy corn, chicken melts with fries.
 
Tuesday:  Baked ham or hot steak sandwich on toast, mashed potatoes, fresh broccoli, seasoned rice, Tuscan blend vegetables.
 
Wednesday:  Breakfast bar, scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, biscuits, gravy, hash browns, assorted cereal, loaded baked potato bar.
 
Thursday:  Pork loin, fresh sweet potato casserole, green beans, cream style corn, fresh cauliflower, chicken patty on a bun with chips.
 
Friday:  Cyber Café
