Happy Presidents' Day!
The weather this weekend was pretty great, wasn't it? Much better than you'd expect for February! I hope everyone got to get out and enjoy it. And it sounds like the rest of this week will be wonderful, too.
Wed. Feb. 19, at 1:30 in Mitchell Auditorium, Dr. Harold Aldridge, emeritus professor of psychology at Northeastern State University, will give a presentation titled "The Psychology of the African-American Experience", in honor of Black History Month. This presentation is free and open to the public, and will include discussion of the contributions of African-Americans from ancient times to the present.
EOSC birthdays for the week include: Thurs. Feb. 20, meat lab manager, Mr. Gaylon Brannon, and Fri. Feb. 21, assistant financial aid director, Ms. Patricia Rector. You two have a great birthday!
Lunch menus for this week include:
Monday: Mushroom smothered beef burgers, buttered potatoes, fried okra, turnip greens, candied carrots, hot rolls, cherry dump cake, and beef and noodle soup.
Tuesday: Baked pork chops, fresh sweet potato casserole, black eyed peas, fresh spinach, macaroni and tomatoes, hot rolls or cornbread, assorted pies, and cheesy potato soup.
Wednesday: Chicken parmesan over angel hair pasta, green beans, sautéed squash, fresh broccoli, breaded tomato casserole, garlic bread, earthquake cake, and Italian sausage soup.
Thursday: Cube steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn on the cob, seasoned rice, cabbage, Antigua vegetables, hot rolls, pumpkin pie snickerdoodle bars, and white bean and ham soup.
Friday: Dorito bake casserole, cilantro lime rice, pinto beans, fried okra, Mexican cornbread or sub sandwiches with chips, banana split cake.
Dinner menus include:
Monday: Pizza and pasta bar featuring creamy garlic pasta, chicken Alfredo, penne with sausage and tomatoes, and pizzas topped with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage and cheese.
Tuesday: Tamale pie, Mexican rice, refried beans, nachos or grilled chicken wraps with waffle fries, or baked potato.
Wednesday: Chicken and dumplings or roast beef and cheddar on onion roll, chips, twice baked potato casserole, English peas, winter blend vegetables, baby carrots.
Thursday: Kielbasa and potato skillet, fresh cauliflower with cheese sauce, corn, rice pilaf, fried squash, green beans.
Friday: Cyber menu.
