Hi folks,
 
Welcome back!  Or just welcome to any new students out there!  I hope you're ready for a great semester of learning and fun activities!
 
One fun activity coming right up is a Welcome Back Late Night Breakfast and Bingo Tuesday evening from 9:00 to 10:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria.  This event is sponsored by Eastern's Student Activities department and new Student Activities coordinator, Carly Jones.  Please join Carly and everyone in the Cafeteria for a great time with good food, fun and games and of course...PRIZES!!!    
 
Birthdays at Eastern include:  Sunday, Jan. 12, Gear Up's Helen Scott; Wed. Political Science professor, Cathy Cogburn, and Carla Noah of the Cafeteria; and Sat. Dean of the Science and Math Division and this year's winner of the President's Excellence in Teaching Award, Margaret Sorrell.  Please wish all these great gals a great day when you see them!
 
Lunch menus for Mon. Jan. 13 thru Fri. Jan. 17 include:  
 
Monday:  Salisbury steak, steamed potatoes, corn, steamed cabbage, macaroni and cheese, creamed peas, hot rolls, chocolate cake.  Soup of the day:  Cheesy potato soup.
 
Tuesday:  Pork chops, stuffing, fresh sweet potatoes, brussell sprouts, parmesan squash, California blend vegetables, hot rolls, peach cobbler.  Soup of the day:  Chicken gumbo.
 
Wednesday:  Baked chicken breast, buttered potatoes, broccoli and rice casserole, fried okra, breaded tomato casserole, baby carrots, hot rolls, pumpkin pie snickerdoodle bars.  Soup of the day:  Homemade chili.
 
Thursday:  Ribs, oven roasted potatoes and peppers, BBQ beans, creamed corn, fried squash, fresh cauliflower with cheese sauce, hot rolls, rocky road pudding.  Soup of the day:  Beef Noodle.
 
Friday:  Baked tilapia or hot wings, cilantro lime rice, baked potatoes, green beans, corn on the cob, fresh spinach, hot rolls, orange cake.
 
Dinner menus for the week include:
 
Monday:  Chicken strips, mashed potatoes, gravy, fried okra, mixed vegetables, or hamburgers with fries.  Ice cream with toppings.
 
Tuesday:  Fish or BBQ on a bun with chips, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, corn, brownies.
 
Wednesday: Chicken and dumplings or hot ham and cheese, English peas, squash, loaded baked potato bar.  Ice cream with toppings.
 
Thursday:  Pizza and pasta bar, bread sticks, vegetable bar, cheesecake.
 
Friday:  Cyber café menu.
